Dear Mr Weasley
My name is Ernest Macmillan, and I am in my third year at Hogwarts. We are writing to people who do jobs we are interested in doing when we leave school for this year's Young Protectors League summer project, and I am writing to you because I am interested in doing something about the management of muggles.
I took Muggle Studies in my first two years with Professor Miss Carrow, and I got quite good marks for that, but I am more interested in how the muggles are managed and organised rather than what they used to do and why they have to be put in camps. I know you can take Muggle Studies as a NEWT course, to learn how to work at a camp, but I think I would be better doing higher level work of the Ministry, making policies and decisions about how the muggles are looked after and coordinating between all the camps and that sort of thing.
I think it is our duty, as wizards and witches, to take responsibility for muggles and do what we can to take care of them. My dad is a healer, and he runs a clinic at our house so people can bring their mudbloods and muggles in for proper treatment. He also goes to the camps about once a month to do healing for the muggles and mudbloods, so I know a bit about what the camps are like. But I am very interested in learning more about how you and your department run things at a higher level, so I would really like the opportunity to take part in this summer's YPL project and to maybe come in to your office for an internship to see first hand how things are done.
I think this is very important work for the Protectorate, and I am very keen to learn more about the work you do in your department.
Thank you very much for reading my letter.
Yours sincerely
Ernest Macmillan
